Freedom is Consciousness

Updated: Mar 4, 2021

In non duality, in my seeing, freedom is being in the natural consciousness. It is being your natural self which is beyond karma and beyond mind conditionings. It is being yourself as the absolute self where only what exists in your reality is consciousness.

Bliss, Mindo O. Damalis

People seek for freedom in many different ways for example climbing a mountain, surfing a wave, seeking to experience fully the present moment and become one with nature. In my seeing freedom is about the consciousness which is always here no matter where you are, it is always shining. It is penetrating this 3D reality and actually any reality and any dimension, so it’s neither in the 4D nor heavenly 5D as consciousness penetrates all dimensions, it is beyond even this universe or any other universes.

So true freedom is being aware of consciousness and that consciousness is Bliss and whether having a cup of tea, or walking in a park or surfing a wave, freedom in essence is about being in the light of consciousness. It is that blissful light of consciousness which is within and fully self evident.

The mind literally can not touch it. The mind is like a distant cloud, a distant moon in the sky, so far away that it is beautiful to observe, but it is as far as the moon, so the mind can not touch it. This is why Buddha was always pointing to the moon because the moon is a symbol of liberation, the true freedom being within consciousness.

It is nothing about the external environment, it’s about the internal essence of your true Self. There is not even the external environment or internal self, because everything Is Consciousness and that consciousness is Self luminous and Self evident in every moment. It is that blissful light called Nirvana and only that can be called freedom. Abiding in the Consciousness is true natural freedom.
